Press release
The Centro per l'Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci opens to the public on Friday 31 October 1997 a large anthological exhibition of the artist Remo Salvadori. The exhibition, curated by Bruno Corà, artistic director of the Centre, develops in the 10 large rooms of the museum an emblematic itinerary, marked by dozens of works whose auratic values, due to the use of elements of primary sensibility such as the presence of water, light, colour and materials such as copper, lead, gold, iron, glass, wood, ceramics, bronze and wax will accompany the visitor on a regenerative journey of his own perception and of the very act of seeing. The works—some marking key moments in Salvadori’s career since the early 1970s, others more recent, including pieces conceived and created specifically for this occasion—span more than 25 years, during which the artist has developed his unmistakable aesthetic-poetic trajectory, of which the exhibition offers an exemplary synthesis.
