4 elements: iron, gold
35 × 33 × 0.2 cm
Like a star in the daytime
"From a soaring spaciousness to one collapsing into a punctum, at once gravitational and centrifugal: this was the leap, in the first half of the 1990s, that started Salvadori on a second, extremely rich seam of drawings originating from a constant motif, that of the star. A photograph bears witness to its genesis from the simple gesture of getting four fingers to touch against the light, a negative form in the middle of positive ones ('like a star in the daytime, waiting to become visible'). And then in other images and other works, juxtaposing various round and circular objects: four iron discs, four tomatoes, etc."
