"Salvadori felt he had to install himself in the center of the lead so as to arrive at its secret and reveal it. The practice was not experienced as a subjective appropriation. Nel momento is the title, in fact, of all the compositions of this kind, which in the vertical series 'lead, tin, iron, copper, mercury, silver, gold' (Alfabeto, 2013 [2016]) find a dynamic equilibrium inspired by the substance of the planets. The metals—this is the decisive aspect—become what they are only over the course of the process, because their essence is revealed through the energy of the work."
