"In La stanza dei verticali there were correspondences between forms like the circle and the square, the horizontal and the vertical, between the physical world—represented by the three sheets of copper placed on the floor in the work Teorema, 1995, a concrete visualization of the Pythagorean theorem—and the spiritual world—indicated by the three Verticale, 2000, made by the embrace Lombardi, Lancellotti, and Salvadori had imprinted on the copper sheets, held in place by the steel rings of Continuo infinito presente."
