Stasis reveals inner movement
"The rhythmical quality of the cutting and raising of the surface reveals a concomitance between invention and repetition where the one is energy in the process of formation with respect to the situation and the times and thus able to present itself as novelty, while the other confronts the eternal return of the form that repeats itself, but which, because of the varying performative input of the artist, is fatefully different. One same thing, in the process of becoming, highlights the coexistence of ancient and new, which flow into one another, always equivalent but always different. ... A loop is created, one based on the torsion of the lead surface, which then shows how multiplicity is born of sameness. Stasis reveals inner movement."
