A passage materialized by light
"For me the work is something living. Here it is the light that materializes it outside, while entering the church there is the darkness. The work [Soglia] is composed of a square that has the height of the entrance at its central point as its diagonal. Its rhythms are compressed on the diagonal as if to underscore the fact that the geometric figure has exhausted its time in the synthesis of is elements, and . . . becomes . . . the passage across the threshold."
(Remo Salvadori in conversation with Domenico Scudero, in Remo Salvadori. Né da né verso, leaflet of the exhibition [Carrara, chiesa della Madonna delle Lacrime, piazza Duomo, Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara, July 16 - September 11, 2016], 2016)
