"Every landscape has its own unique, unrepeatable and irreproducible measure of habitation: the measure of existence. I inhabit a landscape, therefore I am. Here I have my temporary existence, and with art I can enter the temporal dimension: I can stay in a landscape. . . . The body enters into relation with the world through a sensorial source of knowledge. To perceive is to know and re-know places, their value, their transformation: a space-time knowledge, the result of a dialogue between man and his experience. This dialogue involves the ability to see, orienting the gaze to encounter different times and spaces in the moment, connecting them in the dialectic of observer – object observed. . . . In the moment in which I observe a landscape I stay there to grasp the depth, to see, a synonym of knowing."
