15 elements: watercolor on paper, bronze
77 × 57 × 3 cm each
The medium of the water and the metal that passes through fire
"I notice that there is a force, a blue force and a yellow one, a centrifugal force and a centripetal one . . . . This became apparent also in the blue and yellow worked through the medium of water, which allows the expansion of the color over the sheet of paper. However, I realized that progress with this experience had to occur by passing from one element to another; in this case metal . . . that passes through fire."
(Remo Salvadori in Finding immediacy in time. A conversation between Bruno Corà and Remo Salvadori, in Remo Salvadori, ed. Bruno Corà, catalogue of the exhibition at the Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci, Prato, October 31, 1997 - January 25, 1998 [Turin: Hopefulmonster, 1997], 178)
Pigments and forms
"Lampada is a watercolor that encloses the presence of pigments (yellow and blue, always set in a centrifugal-centripetal relationship) and forms (the white square and circle, where the paper is not touched by the paint) inside a circular bronze ring, which evokes a weight that is not perceptible in optical vision and that manifests as a purple vibration to the observer."
